KUZARI performances are captivating and entertaining. They sing and dance to heavy African poly-rhythms and always get their audience to participate.
Their wealth of experience in teaching enables them to tailor content to the class/workshop making learning easy for beginners and stimulating for the advanced student. They also teach the origin of communication through rhythms, songs, dance, story-telling and culture.

KUZARI which means energy/enthusiasm in the Hausa language of West Africa is a UK based, professional group that performs, teaches and entertains. They are singers, dancers and multi-instrumentalists playing percussion, bass, keyboards and guitars.
They have worked in a number of African countries and the United Kingdom in schools, colleges and universities, art centres, theatres and dance venues working with and entertaining people of all ages and abilities. They have also worked and recorded with various artistes from Africa, the UK and the Caribbean.
Kuzari members Zozo Shuaibu and Sam Maitland are major contributors to the popular Cumbria County Council tuned-in.org music project which features West African Drum Beats. They were also commissioned by Expressive Software Projects makers of Compose World and Rhythm Maker to compose and perform for the ESP CD-ROM The Drum International.
Falamakata was, simply put, a masterpiece. Keep it up.

These guys are fantastic - master drummers, great all-round musicians and they'll have your classes spellbound. We know, we had them here firing up local teachers to bang those djembes. Recommended.

Sabanoh which means "It belongs to us" in the Temne language of Sierra Leone has been a household name in the music scene for more than two decades. In the 70s and early 80s the band was called Sabanoh 75. At present the band is called Sabanoh International and consists of three original members, based in London. Zozo Shuaibu, Ayo Roy-Macauley and Bobwin Amara are among the finest musicians to come from West Africa. You're warmly invited to check out the Sabanoh sound!
